An independent digital archive dedicated to documenting Malaysia’s highest-quality architecture.
Rujia records the spaces shaping our built environment, and the thinking behind them. Through photographs, drawings and architects’ design narratives, we bring together a growing collection of work from across Malaysia.
Architecture in context
We look at how a project responds to its place: the tropical climate, the existing fabric, the craft of construction and the everyday lives it accommodates. The archive is a resource for architects, design-minded readers and anyone curious about the places around them.
Our editorial approach
Projects are reviewed for the strength of their architectural ideas and the quality of their documentation. We credit the practices, collaborators, photographers and writers behind each contribution, distinguishing supplied design narratives from editorial text.
A growing record
We welcome completed projects across different scales and typologies, from intimate homes and adaptive reuse to cultural and public spaces.
